‘I am pleased to present the annual budget 2013-2014 which has been developed with a carefully considered and sustainable financial management approach and is consistent with our long-term financial planning model,’ City of South Perth Deputy Mayor Kevin Trent said.
Cr Trent said the increase of 4.91 per cent ‘stands up very well’ against other councils and is comparative to last year’s increase of 4.5 per cent.
One highlight of the City’s Annual Budget 2013-2014 is the $970,000 allocated to various environmental programs aimed at protecting the City’s riverbanks and foreshores, including almost half a million dollars for the river walls.
