Police are still receiving complaints of valuables being stolen from vehicles when parked on the street or in car parks of shopping centres. To assist in reducing this type of crime it is imperative that you leave nothing of value in your car, this includes anything in the boot. Items that prove particularly appealing to any would be thief are Laptops, wallets, handbags, mobile telephones and ipads. Before leaving your car just make sure nothing at all is left in plain sight, if you take that little bit of extra time to make sure everything is removed we can make a real difference to this type of opportunistic crime. Remember to report any suspicious behaviour immediately to police on 131444.
