RUBY Rowden has signed off after volunteering with Curtin FM for 20 years.

The Cloverdale resident started working in the office at the station when she was 61 years old but now it concedes it is time to go and “annoy her husband” at home.

“My favourite memories include working with wonderful people, there has been so many incredible volunteers and staff,” she said.

“There has always been a great atmosphere; there has been so many work experience students and different people who have worked behind the scenes.

“The news editor Les Welsh, who retired in December, has taught so many students and there is a wall of photos of high-profile students like Angela Tsun, who have come through here.”

An afternoon tea was held on Mrs Rowden’s last day on February 1 to say goodbye to the long-time volunteer.
