Cyclist suffers head injuries after collision with garbage truck in Victoria Park

A 43-year-old male cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision with a rubbish truck in Victoria Park this morning.

The crash occurred about 6.30am at the intersection of Albany Highway and Temple Street.

The truck, which was being driven by a 28-year-old man, was travelling south along Albany Highway.

The cyclist, a 43-year-old man of East Victoria Park, was travelling north.

The cyclist was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance after reportedly suffering severe head injuries.
