In the hustle and bustle of Victoria Park’s cafe strip, the Dutch Trading Co offers a selection of craft beer and Dutch influenced meals.
Manager of the venue Joel Beresford said they decided to launch live music nights because the entertainment would complement the existing atmosphere.
“In previous incarnations, this venue has had a history of being a hub for the live music scene, something that is lacking in this area,” Mr Beresford said.

READ NOW“We thought to revive live music here to get the community excited again, and to come out and experience the amazing atmosphere only live music can create.”
Mr Beresford hoped the live music nights would help the Victoria Park strip come alive.
“The talented musicians will reinvigorate interest down our end of the Vic Park strip and make it a go-to place for locals and attract new visitors to the area,” he said.
“I love the potential the strip has to become Perth’s most vibrant scene for nightlife and day tripping.”
Acoustic duo Beth & Col launched the new Thursday night entertainment last week.
Singer Beth Kuwertz said it was fantastic to see another venue along the Victoria Park strip support local musicians and the industry.
“Music plays a significant cultural and social role in our lives and we think it’s important that venues like this continue to broaden the live music scene,” she said.
The Dutch Trading Co on Albany Highway will feature live music acts every Thursday from 6-9pm.
