East Victoria Park graduate on a mission to improve health attitudes

EAST Victoria Park resident Mary D’Souza is on a mission to make a difference in attitudes towards health in Australia.

Ms D’Souza recently graduated from Notre Dame University with a Bachelor of Preventative Health and said ultimately she wanted to educate young people about actions they could take today to have better health outcomes for tomorrow.

“I aspire to make a difference in changing attitudes to health in Australia,” she said.

“The practicum opportunities from my preventative health degree encouraged me to work with young people so they can make more informed decisions on their lifestyle.”

Ms D’Souza hoped she could work in community grassroots levels and start with teenagers and youth who were exposed to negative influences.
