RACHELLE Menezes today appealed to anyone who may have information about her husband, who was found unconscious at The Park Centre in East Victoria Park last week .
Ronuald (Rommy) Menezes was found unconscious near a large tree in the carpark of The Park Centre in East Victoria Park, adjacent to Priceline Pharmacy, on Saturday January 27.
Police reported the 57-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance about 11.30pm, where he remains in a stable but critical condition with serious head injuries.
“At this stage we can not discount an element of criminality; there may well have been a tragic accident but that is why we are calling on the public’s assistance,” Detective Constable Evan Jackson said.
Mrs Menezes said she and her daughters, Romelle (25) and Rheanne (19), were very distraught and just wanted answers.
“Doctors have been unable to give us too much detail at this point in time except that (Rommy) is critical,” she said.
“Rommy is normally a very fun loving person, he just strikes up a conversation.
“He is very family orientated and his two girls are his life.
“He would not have got in to any altercations with anyone, he is not an aggressive person.”
The last contact Mrs Menezes had with her husband was Saturday afternoon before she and her daughter went to visit a friend.
She said Rommy was wearing a black shirt and green cargo shorts when she last saw him.
Police would like to speak to the occupants of a white Hyundai Getz and a silver Hyundai van that were seen parked in the carpark at the time.
Police are also appealing for anyone else who may have been in the area between 9.30pm and 11.30pm or who may have CCTV vision of the area to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online.
