Staff ReporterSouthern Gazette

Led by Indigenous Tours WA director Noel Nannup, the tour visited Adachi Park, Tomato Lake and Signal Hill, and was attended by council staff.

Mayor Phil Marks said the tour would highlight the City’s progress in further development of its Aboriginal Engagement Plan and would be the first of similar tours.

‘The City’s inaugural cultural tour in conjunction with National Reconciliation Week will play a significant role in learning about shared cultures, Aboriginal heritage and connection to country within Belmont,’ Cr Marks said.
