Four arrested after stolen car crashes into Belmont house

POLICE have arrested four people after a stolen car crashed into a house in Belmont yesterday morning.

Around 6.20am on Thursday, a blue Subaru Impreza was reportedly driving dangerously near George Street in Belmont.

Police located the vehicle after it crashed into a house, which received minor damage to a pillar, and a parked car on the corner of Barker and Belgravia Streets.

The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, but were apprehended by police a short time later.

Three men aged 24, 27 and 45-years-old were charged with stealing a motor vehicle and are due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on August 17.

The other occupant, a 21-year-old man, has been charged with two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, possessing a prohibited drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
