In October, the 29-year-old and her friend Erin O’Rourke will walk 474km from Albany to Perth in two weeks to raise money for the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation.

‘I’ve lost 20kg just from training for it and my outlook on life is much more positive in terms of mental focus,’ Miss Broadhead said.

Miss Broadhead’s friends have also been inspired to improve their fitness by attending her Jane’s Walk for a Cure fundraising bootcamps.

‘So many people have changed their eating and exercise habits from joining,’ she said.

Miss Broadhead has raised $12,000 so far but hopes to reach her donation goal, which would fund six months worth of cancer research.

Biggest Loser contestant Brett Martin will join Miss Broadhead at her next bootcamp at Faulkner Park in Belmont on Saturday, August 3 at 10am.
