THE mid-strength beers that will be on sale to the public during events at Optus Stadium have been revealed today.

Palmyra-based Gage Roads Brewing Company won the sole beer and cider contract late last year.

Fans will be able to buy the Single Fin Summer Ale, Atomic Pale Ale, ALBY Crisp Lager and Hello Sunshine Cider, which will all have an alcohol content of 3.5 per cent, in the general admission areas.

All 10 Gage Roads products will be available throughout premium areas of the Stadium, including the full-strength Alby Draught lager, 2016 AIBA Champion Australian Beer Little Dove, Sleeping Giant IPA, Narrow Neck Pale Ale, and Breakwater Australian Pale Ale.

Optus Stadium chief executive Mike McKenna there would be a great range of food and beer on offer at the venue.

“It’s worth noting that we have 1500 toilets, so we are well-resourced to give everyone a great time,” he said.

“At the moment we have a program of about 40 event days, everything from the cricket right through the full AFL season.”

Gage Roads managing director John Hoedemaker said his team is thrilled to be supplying their range of products to the stadium.

“We are looking forward to providing fans with a selection of our locally crafted beverages to enjoy while they are experiencing the very best sport and entertainment at this magnificent venue,” he said.

The stadium will open this Sunday with the Open Day, followed by the One-Day International between Australia and England on January 28 and an AFL Women’s match on February 10.
