Good Friday footy is coming to Perth

AAPSouthern Gazette

REIGNING AFL premiers West Coast will square off against Port Adelaide at Optus Stadium next season as part of a blockbuster Good Friday doubleheader.

The game will take place at 6.10pm Perth time.

The AFL, which has delayed the release of the full 2019 fixture until Thursday, has added a second marquee match for the public holiday on April 19 to follow the annual clash in Melbourne.

Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas confirmed the new stand alone night game and said the Power were keen to turn around their fortunes against the Eagles after two close losses in recent years.
