Mr O’Rourke’s mother, Winifred, died last year and he found the image, believed to have been taken about 1946.

Mr 0’Rourke is looking for help to identify the boys in the St Anne’s Convent photograph.

The photograph includes two of Mr O’Rourke’s brothers, one of whom died just a couple of years after the photo was taken. Raymond O’Rourke was 10 years of age when he drowned in the river.

‘This photo is from the older days of Belmont and all the kids would have been from local families and pioneers of the district,’ he said.
