Home owner hit by falling brick following Police car chase

A FAMILY of four were woken in the early hours this morning, with one member hit by a falling brick after a car crashed into their home on the corner of  Oats and Jupiter Streets in Carlisle.

At about 2.20am, on August 13, Cannington Police spotted a white Mazda that was weaving and speeding along Shepperton Road in Victoria Park.

Officers activated their vehicle’s emergency lights and siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle.

But as officers were seeking authorisation to commence pursuing the vehicle, the driver of the Mazda allegedly lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into the family home causing extensive damage.

A 23-year-old woman has been charge with drunk and reckless driving to escape pursuit by police.

She is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on August 31.
