The service’s co-ordinator, Natalie Plunkett, said she took Buster to the vet where he is undergoing treatment on his back leg.

“One of our foster dogs was purposely run over and then reversed over by the driver of a white 4WD style Ute, who then drove off,” the post read.

“Unfortunately the carer was in shock and was unable to get the number plate of the car.

“We are pleading with anyone who might’ve been at the intersection of Planet & Archer Street in Carlise and has dash cam or may have witnessed what happened to come forward and help us bring justice to the oxygen thief who has done this.

“Our poor Buster is now at the vet getting emergency treatment and may possibly lose his back leg.”
