On May 9 between 3pm and 7pm, locals are invited to Light Up Lathlain, an event to reignite community spirit following months of work to upgrade Lathlain Place.
It is the first of the Lathlain Precinct Redevelopment Project's eight zones to be completed.
Features of the new Lathlain Place include pedestrian priority one-way traffic, new lighting, multi-functional outdoor furniture, natural environmental elements and the funkiest bus shelter in Perth.
Lathlain Place and Rayment Park will come alive with free activities, games, crafts and entertainment, food vans, face painting, giant games, music, craft, Scitech exhibits and displays by local community groups.
