Karawara: man knocked over by moped in shopping centre carpark

KARAWARA

A MAN sustained cuts and bruises after he was bowled over by the driver of a moped in the carpark of a shopping centre on Kent Street on March 11 about 10.30am.

The man had parked his car when the moped with two males aboard pulled up and attempted to take the victim’s GPS that was attached to his bicycle, which was secured to the rear of the car. As the man ran towards them to stop them from taking the GPS, the driver of the moped knocked him to the ground before riding off.

Police believe two men may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The first is described as dark-skinned, medium build, aged 20-30, with short dark hair, while the second is described as medium build with a distinctive tattoo on his right calf and right wrist.
