Kewdale: 93-year-old passenger dead after car crash

AN ELDERLY woman has died after the car in which she was a passenger was involved in a crash at a Kewdale intersection yesterday.

The 93-year-old woman was in a silver Toyota Camry that collided with a blue Mazda 3B sedan at the intersection of Sydenham Street and Kooyong Road, and then hit a tree, just before 11am.

She was taken to hospital but later died of her injuries.

Major Crash Investigators want to hear from people who saw the cars prior to the crash or have dashcam footage.
