Ruby StammersSouthern Gazette

ON September 13, 12 Lendlease employees spent their day assisting a community project at Perth Airport with Foodbank.

They worked hard on multiple jobs including packing vegetables, making food hampers and helping recycling efforts.

“We are thrilled that Lendlease has chosen to support Foodbank WA again this year, to help provide meals to the most vulnerable members of our community,” Foodbank WA CEO Greg Hebble said.

“More than 94,000 West Australians a month rely on food provided by Foodbank WA and our charity partners, and it wouldn’t be possible to feed as many people as we do without the help of corporate volunteers.”

As a part of Lendlease’s annual community day, the employees went out and helped 130 causes, including Foodbank.

Community Day, which is now in its 23rd year, allows Lendlease employees to apply their experience and skills to lend a hand and make a positive difference to their communities.

Since it started in 1996, Community Day projects have supported a variety of activities sourced and initiated by Lendlease employees, helping build Lendlease’s strong partnerships and relationships with the community.

Their projects range from restoring green spaces and assisting special needs children to renovating buildings for the homeless.
