POLICE have charged a 30-year-old Karawara man after he allegedly robbed a pregnant woman in Karawara on Monday.
About 1.30pm, the 32-year-old woman – who is five months pregnant – was walking through a playground on Kwel Court when she was approached by a man and a woman.
The man allegedly demanded the woman’s handbag, before he grabbed the bag and pulled it towards him.

READ NOWHe then pushed the woman away, causing her to fall backwards and receive minor injuries.
The man allegedly further demanded the victim’s mobile phone and wallet.
He was handed both by the woman, before he allegedly struck her in the face and left.
The man has been charged with aggravated robbery and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
