Man charged after allegedly threatening Riverton woman with brick in her bedroom

A BALGA man has been charged after allegedly breaking into a Riverton home and threatening a woman with a brick in her bedroom.

Kensington detectives alleged the man broke into a house in Tricourt Grove at 1.30am on Monday, April 16.

During the burglary he went into the bedroom of the female victim and demanded cash while threatening her with a brick.

He then escaped with the victim’s handbag.

The woman was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital as a precaution because she was in shock from the incident.

A 22-year-old man was charged with armed robbery as well as aggravated burglary and commit.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
