Man fined for stealing almost $200,000 from Redcliffe business

POLICE have charged a 38-year-old man from South Perth with stealing nearly $200,000 from a Redcliffe business where he was employed.

Police say the man was employed as a branch manager for the business from September 2017 to May 2018.

An audit identified more than 24 suspect transactions that are alleged to have occurred during his eight-month employment period.

The man has been charged with three counts of stealing as a servant and one count of forge and utter.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
