A MAN has been taken into custody over an armed hold up at a Como pharmacy this afternoon.
Police said an armed man entered Amcal Community Pharmacy on Coode Street after 12pm.
The man left the area on foot but police arrested him nearby, on Anstey Street, after a short chase.
Amcal Pharmacy owner Angela Boyatzis said the store reopened at 3pm after being closed for about three hours.
“Everyone’s fine and police responded really quickly,” she said.
“We’re just getting on with business, we’ve just reopened.”
Police have not released information on whether items were taken during the hold up.
