TEN primary schools from all over Perth gathered last week to compete for the coveted Picasso Cow 2016 winning title.
For the past three months local schools, including Manning Primary, participated in Dairy Australia’s Picasso Cow Program.
The hands-on program aimed to help students learn about where food comes from, the health benefits of dairy foods and the importance of the dairy industry.
Challenges that dairy farmers face were brought to life as the students painted life-sized fibreglass cows to represent the themes.
The presentation was held in Cannington, and Moerlina School in Mount Claremont was declared the winner.
