Men’s Shed on community agenda

Chairwoman Sharon Watson said the establishment of a Men’s Shed would give local men a positive place to get together and share their thoughts and ideas.

Victoria Park MLA Ben Wyatt has committed $50,000 to the establishment of a Men’s Shed in the Bentley area if Labor is elected at the March 9 state election.

The funding will come from Labor’s Community Priorities Fund.

‘Men’s Sheds have proven to be very successful across Australia and I believe that a Men’s Shed would be a great addition to the Bentley community,’ he said.

‘I believe that a Men’s Shed will help strengthen ties and build connections within the community, especially given the dramatic changes that are due to take place over the next few years as part of the Bentley Redevelopment by the Department of Housing.’
