MORE areas of Victoria Park have been scheduled to have copper services shutdown to make room for the NBN.
Telstra area general manager Boyd Brown said the service transition was now entering its final phase and residents still using copper services needed to connect to NBN to avoid phone service disconnection.
“Traditional copper-based phone, data and internet services will be switched off in parts of Victoria Park from June 10,” Mr Brown said.
“Customers in this area who are yet to switch to the NBN must act now to avoid potential disruption to their landline and broadband services.
“We are encouraging community members to check in on loved ones and elderly neighbours to make sure they are fully prepared for the impending disconnection of copper services.”
