A HOST of interstate and local universities and education institutions were on hand at Penrhos College this week to meet with parents and students for the Careers Expo.

The annual event is open to Penrhos College students from Years 10-12 as well as the wider community and other school students.

More than 35 exhibitors, including the University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, Monash University and more, were present at the event.

Penrhos College careers advisor Colleen Devlin said she was thrilled with the number of families who attended the expo.

“Exhibitors were busy throughout the evening answering questions and assisting students to develop a better understanding of the variety of career paths available to secondary school students,” Ms Devlin said.

Year 10 student Alex McGuckin said the expo had helped her gain a better understanding of the variety of post-school study options.

“Although I was overwhelmed with information, I feel as though I now have a greater understanding of the different paths that I have the opportunity to take in my future,” Alex said.
