PERTH detectives have charged a man who allegedly raped a student while he was a teacher at a south metropolitan high school in the late 90s.
He is facing eight sexual assault charges.
The 56-year-old man is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy between July 1997 and September 1998.
The accused, who now lives in the south west, was charged with:
- three counts of sexual penetration of a child aged between 13 and 16.
- four counts of indecent dealing with a child aged between 13 and 16.
- one count of attempted sexual penetration of a child aged between 13 and 16.
He is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on March 1.
