Susanne ReillySouthern Gazette

It’s International Day of the Gibbon and Perth Zoo, home to two species, will host activities to raise awareness.

The zoo is home to nine critically endangered white-cheeked gibbons and three endangered Javan gibbons.

The day aims to raise awareness about gibbons and the serious threat of extinction that gibbons face globally.
