Police arrest and charge 18-year-old man after string of burglaries across Perth

AN 18-year-old man has been charged following investigations into a number of offences committed across the Perth metropolitan area.

Police were investigating a series of burglaries that had been committed on homes in Cannington, Armadale, Success, Huntingdale, West Perth, Leda, Belmont, Nollamara and Camillo between October 26 and December 27.

All burglaries involved the theft of jewellery, cash and credit cards.

Yesterday, Kensington Detectives and Murdoch Police with the assistance of the canine unit apprehended the man at a home in Success.

It is alleged the man was in possession of a large quantity of cash and stolen property.

The man from no fixed address has been charged with 10 counts of home burglary, 11 counts of stealing, possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property and two counts of breaching bail.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
