Police hunt for East Victoria Park brick thrower

POLICE want help to find the people who threatened an elderly man in East Victoria Park and then threw a brick at a truck driver who had tried to intervene.

The driver was left bleeding after the brick flew threw his open window, hitting his head and damaging the truck’s windscreen.

The incident happened in broad daylight in Pinedale Street about six weeks ago, just before midday on Saturday, December 29.

Security footage captured three boys picking up bricks and threatening two men on the side of the street.

Police said the driver, before he was injured, had taken one of the bricks from the boys and told them to leave. He then got back in his truck and was beginning to drive away when the brick came through the window.

The driver was treated for his injuries at Royal Perth Hospital.

The boys ran away along Pinedale Street before turning right onto Creaton Street.
