Police hunt two men over Belmont drive-thru bottle shop armed robbery

POLICE are seeking information about two men involved in an armed robbery at a drive-thru BWS bottle shop in Belmont last month.

The Regional Investigations Unit said the men entered the store on the corner of Wright Street and Knutsford Avenue at 8.55pm on December 27, before one of them threatened staff with a knife then fled the scene with a carton of alcohol.

The first man is described as between 16-21 years old, light skinned, about 175 cm tall, medium build with collar length brown hair.

He was wearing a black hooded top with “POLO” written on the front, black shorts and black trainers.

The second man is described as between 16-21 years old, light skinned, about 180cm tall, slim to medium build with short brown hair.

He was wearing a white tracksuit jacket with a blue strip down the arms, black Adidas tracksuit pants and black trainers.

He was also wearing a medium to thick silver necklace.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
