Arson Squad investigate fire at Perth business

THE Arson Squad is investigating a fire which broke out at Perth Hookah Lounge early this morning.

At about 3.55am, police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to a fire on Shepperton Road, East Victoria Park.

“At 4.23am, it was reported the internal fire has broken through the roof,” a DFES spokesperson said.

The DFES spokesperson said the fire caused an estimated $150,000 damage.

There were 12 appliances at the scene and the fire was extinguished by 4.51am.

Perth Hookah Lounge will be closed until further notice as the investigation continue.

The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and Arson Squad investigators will attend the scene today.
