Police investigate suspected murders

The body of Albert Street resident Richard Travis Holloway was found by a neighbour last Tuesday night.

The neighbour made the discovery when she went to feed his cats.

Detectives would like to hear from people who knew the victim and also want to speak with anyone who saw anything suspicious between last Sunday and Tuesday.

About 9.45am last Friday, detectives were called to an incident in Buzza Street in St James. A man with serious injuries was taken to hospital by ambulance where he later died from his injuries.

The man’s de facto partner appeared in court over the weekend charged with grievous bodily harm. She was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again via video link on May 27.
