The 2005 model Ford Falcon XR6 utility with registration 1EAY710 was stolen from a worksite in Carlisle around 10am on Friday June 8.

Officers activated lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle, however it accelerated away and drove at high speeds through numerous streets, ignoring red lights and at times crossing to the incorrect side of the road.

Police lost sight of the vehicle in the vicinity of Rutland Avenue and Welshpool Road, although they found the vehicle that evening in Cloverdale.

They are seeking to identify the driver of the vehicle and have appealed for anyone with information, or with dash-cam vision of the utility, to come forward.

Officers would also like to speak to the person who filmed the car splitting vehicle lanes seen in recent media reports.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
