The students spoke to the Governor about his role, the Queen’s 2011 State Royal Visit and asked him a range of questions from ‘how did you become Governor?’ to ‘how much do you get paid?’

‘Over the past six months it has been a privilege to speak to more than 10,000 students across Western Australia on the importance of giving back to those in need,’ Mrs McCusker said.

‘My husband, the Governor of Western Australia, and I have been truly inspired by the innovative ideas that have been generated by the children as part of the Kids Who Give WA program.

‘Some giving projects have involved single students, whilst others have involved the entire school; some schools are new to the giving process, whilst others have been involved in community projects for many years.’

Aquinas College Junior School students William Dundas and Patrick Lorraine presented their Junior Service Program, which includes helping the environment, homeless and elderly.
