Psych order for woman accused in stabbing

A WOMAN accused of injuring a man with a knife in Victoria Park was ordered to see a psychiatrist within 72 hours and stay with her mum as part of bail conditions.

Mackenzie Eve Farnworth (19) appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday charged with intent to do grievous bodily harm and unlawfully wounding another following an incident on Thursday night.

Police believe a 24-year-old man was in a physical altercation with another man at a Berwick Street home about 9pm.

It is understood the man was visiting the property when he got into a physical altercation with a 22-year-old man who lived at the home.

Police allege Ms Farnworth became involved in the altercation and “injured the man with a knife”.

The 24-year-old man received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Ms Farnworth will next appear in court on September 20.
