The local artist has made more than 40 quilts to date with some works exhibited nationally and overseas, winning numerous awards and featuring in magazine and calendars.

Knudsen is part of the contemporary quilting group, an organisation she joined when she first came to Perth nine years ago.

"We discuss and explore many different methods of working with textiles, both contemporary and innovative, which is something I have always been passionate about," she said. The group's latest works will be on display as part of the Perth Craft and Quilt Fair at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 20 – 24.
