Troy Ellis has started a group against speed cameras.

‘Speeding doesn’t necessarily kill people on our roads, it’s the unskilled drivers that do,’ he said.

Mr Ellis has put the call out to locals interested in joining his group ” People Against Speed Cameras and Radar Revenue ” and he is planning a public meeting.

Mr Ellis said he started the group after receiving an ‘unfair’ fine for speeding.

‘I got pinned as soon as I entered a 40km/h zone,’ he said. ‘I have to drive to avoid accidents all the time’
