MORE than 90 per cent of Australian mothers prioritise their children’s health over their own according to a recent research survey.

Coles and Redkite commissioned the research conducted in March that revealed parents were selfless when it came to the needs of their children.

Following the results, Coles supermarkets in Belmont, Karawara, South Perth and Victoria Park will offer residents the chance to donate and help raise funds for families affected by cancer through Redkite.

Redkite helps to provide financial and emotional support to children and young people with cancer.

Redkite ambassador Susanne Latimore said the support from local communities would make a real difference to families affected.

“This Mother’s Day I’ll be thinking about all the other mothers I met while my son Manning was in hospital with cancer,” she said.

“By supporting Redkite donors will be helping to ensure the children and families are getting essential and practical support.”
