The 20-year-old songbird, of Rivervale, will do just that on Saturday when she and piana-playing friend Jonathan Warwick team up for a night of cool tunes.

Having played together for a few years, their performance is expected to be colourful and varied, with a distinctive take on songs new and old.

‘I draw a lot of inspiration from the way Jonathan plays, he’s an absolute crazy master on the jazz scales,’ Clark said.

‘I always sing songs that mean something to me, so whether it’s something I can relate to personally, things that have happened directly to me, or to other people that I’m close to.’

She began performing six years ago and is already making a name for herself in Australia.

Clark has sung at Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains and the Sydney Opera House, and was the support act for Grammy winning, singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin earlier this year.

Clark said one of her most memorable performance was for a high school speech night.

‘We did Amazing Grace and I remember the last verse of it was acapella, so I sang by myself without instruments to a packed Concert Hall with this amazing acoustic’
