The nurses, Monica Low, Donna Lee-John and Jill Wright have moved onto other jobs and roles but still will join about 200 staff and family members for a reunion at the Mt Henry Tavern on August 30.
‘It was a magical place to work,’ Ms Low said. ‘It was one big family. We even have families of people we cared for coming to the reunion.’
The hospital was built in 1951 on Gentilli Way and ceased operation in 1999 due to a restructure of the State Government Nursing Sector.
