Rivervale resident Mr Millington said he had been skydiving for years and had completed about 1200 jumps.

“It started as a thrilling thing to do and it’s now a passion, I joined iFLY Perth when it opened in December last year,” he said.

“It’s a pretty fun job; we get to fly every day.”

Mt Lawley resident Mr Hyndman said there were a number of ways that competitors could score points.

“There is a formation category where you try to make as many formations as you can make,” he said.

“Freestyle is the crowd pleaser because you can have a lot more fun with it.

“We train about 20 hours per week and I compete at a few competitions each year.”
