A 44-year-old Rivervale man will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today after being accused by Kensington Detectives of attempting to sexually assault a woman on Wednesday.
Police allege the man entered three houses on Surrey Road, Gladstone Road and St Kilda Road in Rivervale between 9.45pm and 10.25pm and stole items before trying to sexually assault the woman.
Among the charges the man is facing are two counts of attempted aggravated sexual penetration without consent, two counts of aggravated burglary and one count of assaulting occasioning bodily harm.
Police are appealing for information from the public regarding any sightings of the man who was wearing a distinctive black CAT jacket with a yellow collar, which the police are yet to locate.
