“We are the people who are driving it. The idea was to get classic cars that are hiding in garages out in the open,” Mr Hunter said.

“I’m a lover of Jaguars, including my 1958 Jaguar XK150S, which has been totally restored.

“The bottom line is that Jaguars are very good classic cars; they have good bodies, engines and steering and they can keep up with modern cars.”

Mr Hunter said the classic cars that would make an appearance at the show included Aston Martin, MG and Bentley vehicles.

“I like restoring cars because you get a sense of achievement and there is camaraderie as other guys come over to help out,” he said.

“We get families coming to the show, people with an interest in cars and kids who think it’s great because they’ve never seen cars like this.

“We’ve had about 1200 people to the event in the past and the money for the event goes to international charities and local groups such as Ngala.”

Mr Hunter said they expected about 200 vehicles to be on show and people were invited to bring their classic car on the day.
