Victoria Park Primary School began its day with an Anzac ceremony, where all students, staff and many parents acknowledged the Anzacs.
Special guests attended from East Victoria Park RSL and school leaders Lachlan Wheeler and Pena Enari led the ceremony with readings from several Year 7 students.
The ceremony finished with the school choir singing Lest We Forget.
Students from Kensington Secondary School were joined by residents from Rowethorpe Village to honour the Anzacs at a special ceremony at the school on Friday morning.
The 25-minute ceremony included singing and students laying handmade rosemary wreaths with poppies. Deputy principal Eugene Maguire said it was a very peace-orientated ceremony.
