It follows the first round announced last year which included the Department of Agriculture and Food headquarters in Kensington.
A Department of Agriculture and Food representative said the Asset Investment Program included $250,000 planned expenditure on a business case to assess affordable accommodation options for the South Perth headquarters
This is planning for a new building model which will not be located at the current South Perth site, which will be sold. A likely option is co-location with a university or similar organisation, with the location and partnership to be determined through a competitive process, the representative said.
Lands Minister Terry Redman said the State Government was working closely with its agencies and the property sector to identify and continue to bring surplus government properties to market.
I encourage developers and other prospective buyers to visit the Department of Lands website for information about current and future sales of surplus government land, he said.
