Section of Albany Highway to be closed this week

A SECTION of Albany Highway will be closed from Thursday to Saturday this week.

The road will be closed from Dane Street to Hill View Terrace in East Victoria Park from 6pm to 5am on January 5-7 due to resurfacing works being carried out by the Town of Victoria Park.

Traffic controllers will be on site to maintain a safe traffic flow and will endeavour to accommodate local traffic movement requirements of residents and businesses at various times during the works.

Temporary parking restrictions will be in place and unauthorised vehicles may be towed away to avoid being damaged by the construction works.

Alternative parking bays will be available at Hubert Street carpark and on the side streets off Albany Highway.

Due to the nature of the works and to minimise any inconvenience to businesses, the works need to be carried out at night.
