The City of South Perth, the South Perth Youth Network, Kensington Police, Royal Life Saving WA and Gowrie WA will put on the biggest water fight the City has seen as part of arts program A Story to Tell.
Summer Splash is a free event on January 29 and aims to bring people together and have fun while exploring the hidden parks and pathways of Karawara.
Kensington Police have challenged community members with ‘Kids vs Kenso Cops’ and have offered children the opportunity to soak a police officer from head to toe in the battle.
Kensington Police acting Officer in Charge Senior Sergeant Craig O’Hehir joked the kids would need to bring their A-game.

“There’ll need to be lots of kids to participate or Kenso cops will win for sure,” he said. “But jokes aside, we’re looking forward to getting to know the community in such a fun atmosphere.”
The event will have a giant inflatable slip-and-slide and a free sausage sizzle and fresh fruit provided by Waterford IGA and Neighbourhood Watch South Perth. Summer Splash will use purchased water from a hire service and will take place on grass at the Karawara Greenways on Walanna Drive from 4-6pm.
