South Perth Burswood Rotary Club having sale to prepare for demolition of home hall

THE beloved home of South Perth Burswood Rotary Club, the Rotary Hall on Sandgate Street, South Perth, will be demolished early next month .

In preparation, the club is having a sale of goods including large furniture items on January 27-28, from 9-3pm.

The Rotary Hall, which forms part of the Kensington Collier Heritage Trail, has been valued among South Perth community members since its establishment in 1963.

South Perth Burswood Rotary president Jan Teasdale said planning was in place for an awareness event, World of Rotary, to be held at club’s the new home in John McGrath Pavilion.

“This is an exciting time for Rotary and community groups as they commence a new beginning,” she said.

From January 31, South Perth Burswood and Como Rotary Clubs will share a combined Rotary room at Ernest Johnson Reserve.
